1990 own daughter of Rare Jet, out of a Tiny Watch mare. I just can’t say enough great things about this mare. She is our pride & joy. I really do think Charm is one of those once-in-a-lifetime horses. If I’ve got a name at all in the sport of barrel racing, this mare is mostly responsible. I ran her for about 7 years, and loved every minute of it. She was one of those horses you could always count on, every time. I could send her from anywhere and she would inhale barrel #1… every time. She never took a lame step, and if she was ever sore, we never knew it. If I was going anywhere with a trailer she wanted to be in it. She just loved her job. How often in life do you get to say that about a horse??
I retired Charm in 2009 and she joined the broodmare band. She was in absolute perfect condition. In fact, most people were still mistaking her for a colt anytime I had her at a barrel race. But she was 19 years old at the time, and I knew if I wanted a foal we needed to start breeding right away.
